I love Stephen King, John Grisham and Sidney Shieldon. They are really great writers. Everytime, I started reading their books, I couldn't stop it.

I love M.C. Beaton's series mysteries, both Agatha Raisin and Hamish McBeth series. The plot is always pretty good, but I like the way her characters come to life, especially Agatha Raisin, with all their quirks, emotional ups and downs, that they're not always perfect, kind of grumpy at times, kind of soft-hearted other times, just like real people in everyday life. I also like Agatha Christie and I just ran across some old books by an author named Leslie Ford that are pretty good, but I would say M.C. Beaton is my favorite mystery writer hands down. Also, Tamar Meyers writes a good series about a no-nonsense Mennonite woman who is always getting into a mess here or there. I think those are set in Hernia, Pennslyvania, in Amish country since a lot of the characters in them are Amish I believe. They have a lot of humor mixed in, which I also like.
