Do you believe your thoughts and attitudes affect your life including things as health and even your fate? I've read that the more positive thinking you have and the more positive you keep in your mind, the easier your body heals itself. Do you believe it's because of lack of stress? A higher power? I for one believe the more positive you are in life, the more positive the outcome will be. For instance, my mom had been diagnosed with lung cancer and was positive throughout her whole fight. She responded well to treatments, the doctors were surprised she always felt so good. She did not win the fight but she felt good until the minute she passed. What us your opinion on this subject?

Hi karma118. Yes, I believe our thoughts and attitude affect our lives. From what I see in the Holy Bible, this is a principle that God has set. The Holy Spirit commands through Paul, Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Here's another goody... Pr 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Yes! That is why laughter is by far the best medicine! It is so true! My mom totally believed this and it is instilled in me. Thanks for your response, it made me happy. :)

I believe you can have an influence on many things with positive thinking. When I first wake up I decide that it will be a wonderful day and it is. I repeat it aloud to myself and also many times during the day. I set my attitude first thing and maintain it all day and that's what colors the situations I encounter. I learned that from a motivational speaker and it really made a difference in my life! Before, I was at the mercy of my own feelings and outside influences. Now I'm in control of my reactions and my attitude. I rarely get sick, either.

Yes. I completely believe your attitude helps sickness prevention and the way your day goes and so forth. Sometimes it's just hard I suppose to keep that mind set when things go wrong or when things don't go the way you wanted them to. Kudos to you for keeping a strong frame of mind!
