Need help with an essay!

Hey, mates! I am going to have an exam this spring, so I would like to start preparing myself now. I will need to write a kind of essay, there will be different topics provided. Our teacher says it's good to use some wise aphorisms and proverbs, they add up to the style points. The favor I am asking from you is...
Can you suggest any good aphorisms or proverbs? They can be of every topics, as I will have an option to choose between different topics. Please add also an author of the phrase, so I can refer to him/her.

oh no.....same studying here,.,.,., frankly i m fed up with those kind of words...
dude all the best for ur exam ... for phrases search websites like dictionary.com
