spiritual riches versus worldly riches

I'm really surprised today when I open the yahoo homepage and caught my attention about a rising young baseball star who retire his career to follow his calling for priesthood. It's quite inspiring to know that despite of today's selfishness and greediness to acquire wealth, fame and power there's still someone who's willing to give up everything for the sake of serving people and God. Have you heard this story? What is your opinion?

Nope, I haven't heard this story before but it's a good one and well worth telling. It sounds like the kind of story that we'd never hear on CNN or the world news tonight but it just goes to show that good things do happen everyday, even though we may not get to hear about them. God's riches are far better than anything in this world that we could ever hunger after. If we get the word of God it will set us straight time and time again. Thanks for sharing this post. May God bless you.

I have not heard this story but I find it refreshing that someone believes in following his dreams. If I had a choice, I would live somewhere where money didn't seem to run everything. However, I need money to feed my children and therefor, well= it is what it is. This man clearly had a calling. He is to be admired.

Some people are having different goals in their lives. SOme need to gain money, some are behind spiritual riches! SO it depends on what you have done throughout your life and where you want to go!
