Celebrities - A Rant

What do you think of them? Do you think that society places to much value on people that pretend to be someone else? I certainly do. I am tired of hearing every sordid detail about celebrities lives. If you want to know everything about them you can watch Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, The Insider, Extra and Entertainment Television! Why do we need to have it on the evening news?!? Try as I might, I can get away from every disgusting detail. Tiger Woods, John Edwards et al! Who decided that we needed to hear everything about them?

I'm bored with celebrity fever too and I wonder if those who are obsessed with the lives of the famous are bored with their own lives?

Humanity is becoming vain. We should use our time for better things, not to find out details about actors and other celebrities. Honestly, I really don't want to know if celebrity A slept with celebrity B or if celebrity A is having an affair or whatever. Its really disgusting

I agree to you. There are specific show like Entertainment Tonight that can talk about them and everything about them, we don't have to see them on evening news. they are not news, everything about them are either rumor or just speculation. They are just wasting their time. We need to know what is happening to the world because it concern us, while what is happening to them concern only them.

I totally agree with you 100%. I find a show that starts talking about Tiger Woods I just change the show because I really don't want to hear about it. I don't care about the story. The only one person that should care his is wife and that is all. Its really none of anyones business.
