You must first set your goals. Why would you want to lose weight? How are you going to lose weight? how many pounds can you shred? at what cost are you willing to lose weight? The answers in those questions will be your motivation in losing weight. Losing weight is a long, tough battle that's why you'll need motivation. In doing things all you need is a good philosophical and optimistic mindset. Lastly, start now. Not tomorrow, not later but now.

I have been trying to lose weight since the start of this year for my new year's resolution and so far I think I am successful because I lost 8 pounds already. Whoopee!! lol. My technique to lose weight is to do 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise everyday and to eat less carbs. Being in a country with rice as a staple food, eating less carbs is pretty difficult but my technique is portion control. I try to cut in half what I usually eat and eat the rest after 3 hours or so. I eat about 5 small meals everyday. If I do hit a weight plateau in the future, my plan is to lengthen my cardio exercise to 1 hour and do my core exercise routine with the exercise ball for 30 minutes. My cardio exercise consist of running and dancing. Anyway, I hope this will help.

Many experts will tell you that the best way to loose weight is to combine exercise with a healthy diet. I usually go for a brisk walk 3-5 times a week which gets my metabolism going. I do callanetics, yoga or pilates almost every day. I drink 2-3 liters of water per day and I try not to eat anything after 6:00 p.m. I also try to eat very little white bread and sweets.

Well, first of all I want to know how long have you been doing these things? If you expect results, you must be able to continue this routine for a period of time. You can't just be doing it for a few days and expect major results. Keep eating healthy and exercising and I'm sure you'll lose weight in no time.

To lose weight effectively you have to exercise even if it is only a little bit and on a regular basis. You also have to eat many small meals a day and keep them healthy!

losing weight is not simply eating less and having sports. it's more than that. the first you'll need is determination -- determination to lose weight. don't fool yourself about this, because that will be a guarantee to failure. after you have decided to lose weight and will be hell-bent in achieving it, set your goal. how many pounds or kilos do you intend to lose. armed with a resolute determination and your objective, go to your doctor. tell him, you intend to lose weight and the number of pounds or kilos you want to lose. why the doctor, you may ask. because your doctor will be your inseparable partner on your way to losing the weight you want to drop. he will be able to tell you what kind of diet fits your body condition and what kind of exercises your body can bear. then, your doctor may send you to a nutritionist or dietician - to give you an expert advice on food displacements and replacements. this is very important, because no matter how you will exercise to burn calories and fats when you don't regulate your food intake, you will never lose weight. after the nutritionist or dietician, it's time to see someone who will guide you to your exercise regimen. remember, exercising should be a progressive undertaking. and only a gym instructor or physical education professional will be able to guide you through a progressive exercise regimen. with the goal set, your doctor consulted and a dietician/nutritionist and physical education professional on hand, plus an exercise and diet plan, you are now on your way to losing the pounds or kilos you want to get rid of, without risk of injuries and a great chance of success.

hi there lyuesong!...ok here it is, the key to loss weight is strong discipline and determination/motivation, i've seen alot of people in the gym trying to loss those pounds of weight but they fail cause they lack discipline and determination/motivation, losing weigth, literally, is simple just trimming down your calorie input while increasing your calorie output, if you can give me your weight per pounds i can give you the right amount of protien, carbs, EFA and calories you need and how many calorie you can burn per exercise..
