Which One You Will Learnt First?

guitar is my favorite instrument so i'd learn it first...in fact, i'm still learning it now and it's been one year since i started learning it...on my own!

Out of guitar or piano I learned the piano first, but my first instrument I learned was the clarinet and all of the instruments in the clarinet family. While I was growing up and learning the clarinet I learned the piano from books that my mother had from when she played as a youth. She would give me some tips along the way also. I really got involved in keyboards when my parents bought an organ and I was able to take lessons. I really progressed then. I have played some guitar and have even owned a couple but have not found it as simple as the other instruments that I play. I've never spent a lot of time working on it so that is one problem. Right now I am working on my piano playing and guitar is the next instrument on my list to learn.

i think i will learn to play piano first. this is what i really want to learn ever since i was a child. we are planing to but want we can afford. my husband, on the hand, wants to have a guitar. he is eager to learn how to play a guitar that's why.

I would pick up guitar first. First, guitar is much more affordable than a piano. Secondly, I can always bring my guitar outdoors if I feel like it. Thirdly, I can sing while I strum at a a guitar. That explains my choice.

I actually am learning a guitar but i think it would have been better to learn a piano first as it would have solidified fundamentalof music theory and i would have given me beetter reading skills.
