I just wanna add this discussion for all the photography lovers. What camera suites you more? Point and shoot? DSLR? What is your mini review about it? Do you recommend that camera to everyone? I have this Canon A1100is, it is a small and compact camera, It is cheap for professional features. I do recommend this to everybody! :)

I have a camera Olympus, but I don't remember the series lol. The specification is 12 MP, auto intelligent, wide lens, and so on. And, it says that the camera has face detection feature. But until now, I don't know how to use it. Anyone can share?

I have a digital SLR, a Canon 30D. I like to be able to change lenses, flashguns etc. I like the 30D, but I really want the 7D. It might be a bit too expensive at the moment so maybe I upgrade to the 50D since there's not a lot of used 7D's for sale yet.

I do not have my own SLR but I tried one. If you aim to get those perfect pictures like an event in school or stuff it would be perfect. But in extreme traveling like field trips and mountain climbing I think a compact P&S will do better. Having a small pocketable camera is better so that you can enjoy your trip too.
