Anybody else sick of Haiti?

Can anyone give me your best reasons for liking or disliking the massive coverage and support for the Haitian disaster?

Well, I know that the survivors aren't sick of the massive coverage and support. This isn't a Made For TV movie...this is real life...this is a crisis and it needs to stay in the forefront of people's minds worldwide.

The survivors do not need temporary sympathy. A strong dedication to international humanitarian efforts over the past hundred years would have been a far better way to deliver what has been needed down there as a response. If we rely on disaster to spur us to action, we fail to prepare for the next disaster: People get caught up in the "hooplah" and then crawl back into their holes after they feel better about their temporary support of one disaster. And, yes, it will be a Made For TV movie, making someone else wealthier on the back of disaster.
