I found the lyrics to be empowering and comforting during a heartbreak several years ago.

I really like evanescence, amy has one of the best voice i've ever herd and i agree with you about the lyrics

For me a test of a song or musician is how many times in a row I can listen to a song without getting bored or tired of it. With Evanescence I have listened to their album several times over and over and even if some heavier metal fans consider them too gentle in their approach they have beautiful music. I can't wait for the new album their last album The Open Door was release in 2006 so hope it comes out soon, three long years after Fallen and this one even took longer.

Yes,I do like evanescence.I liked especially-"whispers".And "missing" and "lies"too. Amy lee's voice and the lyrics are the reasons that I like them.

I like Evanescence for almost the same reasons you do. I think Amy Lee's voice is beautiful, their music is strong and cool, and most importantly (to me at least) their lyrics are often powerful and relatable. I don't listen to them all the time, and they're certainly not my favorite band. I find myself needing happy music intervention if I listen to Evanescence too long. I never thought they broke up. In fact, I'm glad they've waited so long to put out a new album. I don't like it when artists put out new albums every year. I like supporting my favorite artists and I feel obligated to buy new albums, but albums made in a hurry are not as good as albums that the artist takes time on.
