There are so many different reality shows and if you are like me, then you have actually thought about which one you would like to be on. For me it is The Biggest Loser because I'm not afraid to admit to the fact that I am overweight and I would like to have my butt kicked into gear. However, I've also thought about being on several other ones as well.
Which reality show would you like to be a contestant on and why? Show a lot of creativity here.

Well although I am no cook, chef or even that good in the kitchen I would love to go on the American version of Hells Kitchen so I could face up to Gordon Ramsey. I just can't believe that he really is that volatile in the kitchen and reckon a lot of it is staged. But also I am sure you would actually learn quite a bit on there as well.

Ha! I am intrigued by Hells Kitchen! Those poor contestants - they get so frustrated and sometimes look like they want to kill each other!! That Gordon Ramsey is hilarious in the same way Simon Cowell is on American Idol - yah, it would be kind of cool to face up to him!

That's a very good show. Most of the time the restaurant owners got some attitude problems and they ended up shouting. It's almost as if there were no cameras there Gordon Ramsey would have been stab many times by kitchen knives

I tend to agree with you, it would be kind of fun to be able to see what Gordon is really like in the kitchen. Yes, you can tell that things are staged on there to a certain degree, however, it certainly is a show that will hold one's attention.

American Idol is such a popular show. I used to think that I would like to go to one of the open calls for it, but I wouldn't ever really do it because I don't think that I'd be able to stand the humiliation.

Survivor all the way. I am actually planning on trying to get on Survivor. I don't how these people get over a month off of work but that is something I can't do right now so I am working on it, building up every personal/vacation day I can and not using a single one. I think I will be able to apply later this year and hope to make it on a show sometime next year. At least that is the hopes. Also me an a really good friend of mine are planning on auditioning for Amazing Race around the same time, that should be very cool as well.

Those are the two that my brother wants to be on. The thing being with him is that his wife said that she would not be able to handle the kids alone for the period of time that the show would take. Good luck on your endeavor to get on either Survivor or Amazing Race. Let us know if you make it so we can all cheer you on.

I guess it would have to be on the one as yet unexploited by TV producers where a group of people switch off their TV sets whenever a reality show starts .... Sorry, to each his own and all that but I think the term "reality" is a bit of a misnomen for these shows and they just grate on me.
(No offence to anyone who does like them - they're just not for me)

This is a matter of opinion and I don't think that you've offended anyone with your opinion. I know that there are people that really like these kinds of shows and there are people that can't stand them. However, that is the beauty of being human in that we are able to decide our own preferences.

I think you have not offended anyone for what you stated it's just a matter of preference on what to watch and not to watch. I can say that it's not only you who thinks like this

I'm not sure if it counts as a reality show but... Takashis Castle. Simply because it looks like so much fun. :)
If not.. well, I don't really know any other shows besides Big Brother.. :/ I probably wouldn't mind joining that one if I had the time. But I doubt that I would really win there..
I can't really say that I would be a huge fan of reality shows. Mainly because I only know one.. or two. I used to watch the first 2 or 3 seasons of BB but I got kind tired of it..

If American Idol is a reality show, I would certainly love to be on that. Not that I have any talent mind you. I can't carry a not. However, my signing is so incredibly bad, I would get my 15 minutes of fame from being one of the worse contestants ever. It makes good comedy.

I used to think that. However, some of the acts are so incredibly bad, someone, somewhere had to have told those people they stink. Look at how some of them dress, they all have mirrors. The dress and the sucky act is all to get exposure and it works. Remember that guy a few years ago that went on to youtube fame from sucking out on AI?

I love to travel so I think the most appropriate reality show for me would be Amazing Race. My friend and I actually thought of joining Amazing Race Asia Season 1, but we have to fly to other country (I think it was Singapore then) just to audition and also for interviews. Perhaps if they will hold an audition here then we might as well give it a shot =)

It seems to me that you are a down to earth person like I am. I could not justify having to travel far and wide just to be able to audition to get onto a show.

There are alot of the reality shows that are on and to be honest the only one i used to watch was the big brother ones at the begining until they all seemed all the same.I think that there are alot of them that would not appeal to me and i could never see myself going on any of them. How ever i would like to put a few people in the jungle as i think that would be great to watch.

It would be a lot of fun to put some of the people that I know into the woods as well and see how they would be able to survive. I wish we were able to cast the people for that kind of a show, it would be hilarious.

Although I really do like to watch The Biggest Loser, I don't think I would want to be on any reality show. There is a sports one though that does look like fun! I'm not in good enough shape for that though! I don't really like watching most of them. I'm not married so wife swap is out! I liked that one at first but then they went way to (antogonistically -if that's a word) wrong with it.

I too liked wife swap at first but then I did notice that they were going way too far out on a limb for it. I liked it the best originally when the families had some things that weren't the same but it wasn't swapping entire belief systems.

Yeah, some of their swaps got too way out there, almost mean! Like sending the lady from Louisiana (heavy meat eaters) to California to the real strict vegan dieters. It's okay to explore other's beliefs, but it went too far. The lady from Louisiana brought them gifts, alligator heads. They were appalled and it really seemed to hurt the Cajan lady's feelings.. it was a gift from her heart and her state and they despised it. I stopped watching it after that!

Any reality show that is related to cooking and health. I'm not a good cook but I will learn a thing or two from that experience for sure. I'm not overweight but I got belly problems and that's not good to look at for guys my age so I will join a health related show to pi

I think it would be fun to be able to go on a show about healthy cooking as well. It would be wonderful to have an opportunity to be a better cook by learning from celebrity chefs.

I like Survaivor and I would really like to participate. I also like dance reality shows. There is one reality show here, in Bulgaria and I know it is made like some USA show but I am not sure which one. But it is great really... it is like a race between the participants - they are given different locations and they travel around the country to get where they have to. The prize is one-week journey to any place in the world (the winners choose the destination). It is really great

The race type show that you've referred to sounds a lot like "The Amazing Race" that we have here in the United States. The main difference between the two being that "The Amazing Race" actually has contestants racing all over the world.

Now a days reality shows are very popular, particpate in a realiry show is really a good experience, why because people come to notice seeing you on the TV, you will get fame, money everthing. Once your notice as celebrity, you can't to things publicly, If you seenze, then media will capture this and show this in different angle, you con't live your own life. Coming to my point i never want to participate in any reality show, why because i already mention the reason above, i want to be my self, enjoy each and every day of the life.

That is something very important that people should realize. It is a fact that you would never have your privacy again because of the fact that you would be a celebrity.

Well, I have bever really thought about this.
But definitely I don't want to be in a reality show where you need to pull down other members like Big Brother and the such.
I would rather be in The Biggest Loser even if I'm not overweight (but I won't be accepted here I think there is a required weight in order to join this).

The reason that I would really love to be on The Biggest Loser is because of the trainers. I think they would be a great motivating factor for me. There was a time that I thought I was heavy enough to be on that show (I've battled with weight issues all my life), but now as the contestants get bigger and bigger, I don't think that I would qualify either.

One reality show I'd love to go on is The Amazing Race. I think it'd be fun to be able to go to all these places...even if you got eliminated the first round, you'd get to see a part of the world you'd never have seen otherwise.
One other show I'd like to go on, and this is more of a game show than a reality show, is Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? I would think I could make it on that show. I know a good portion of the questions. It's just those questions that get asked, and you're like, "I didn't learn that stuff till high school."

I too think that the Amazing Race would be a very fun show to be on. The thought of being able to travel on a whirlwind journey throughout the world would be a lot of fun, but also very exhausting as well.

I don't know if everyone would consider Dr. Oz as a reality show, but I do. I watch him every weeknight at 7, and he has helped soooo many people! I would love to be on that show, as I have so many chronic health issues. He takes people and hooks them up with those that can best help them. I would like help in better controlling chronic pain using natural methods, foods, etc.!

I've never actually watched an entire episode of the Dr. Oz show, but I have seen clips of it and it seems like it would be a very interesting thing to watch all the time or to even be a guest on. For you it sounds like it would be very beneficial.

I love dance reality shows.Top choreographers in the competition make the show more compete-ting. I don't miss any of reality shows.Every week I go home early on Fridays and Saturdays to watch those shows. But now-a-days other type of reality shows are becoming problematic like goody show in UK.They should be banned.

There are many shows that are problematic and the first one that I can ever remember being a huge problem was Temptation Island that lasted for one season, that was way back when I was in college and it was the most awful show that I've ever seen.

Does "So You Think You Can Dance" count as a reality show? I have no formal training in dance (at least as a child or teen), but I fell in love with it in my adult life and found I could be somewhat decent doing it in my "advanced" age. I have always wondered what could have been had I started much earlier in my life - but of course there's no going back. And had this show existed at the right time in my life, I also wonder if I could have "made it" on the show. I get such a rush when I watch "So You Think You Can Dance" - I love how these "kids" are challenged with different choreography and being judged by people who know what they're talking about (um, unlike say, Paula Abdul on American Idol). How fortunate they are to be working with awesome choreographers (I love learning routines - even in figure skating). Dance or creative body movement is such a passion for me - but I'm way to old to go against any of these young, flexible and strong dancers . . . but I can dream - hee hee!

The title "the biggest loser" doesn't sound that appealing, but I have no idea what that even is. I don't think physically I could handle being on a reality show, as those tend to put through a lot of physical and mental anguish. I can barely handle what's going in my life right now. And, I don't need a reality show adding to it.
However, if I were forced to chose, I'd probably have to say AI or hells Kitchen. Don't know why, but eh.... those are my favorites.

Kaylachan, the reality program "The Biggest Loser" is actually a reality show about weight loss. Here it has really made a lot of people get up off of the couch and they are really doing something to change the people that they have become.
However, I think that it would be fun to be on AI as well.
