Icy roads?

Is anyone else experiencing EXTREMELY ice roads today? For some reason, here in Minnesota (Minneapolis to be specific), roads are EXTREMELY icy - I think probably because it just recently rained right after a snowstorm. How do you handle dealing with icy roads, when you HAVE to drive places? Or do you do what you can to get out of driving during these conditions? Are your roads really icy right now, too?

No, not icy here in the UK, had deep snow a few weeks ago and the country well and truly freaked out lol. We nearly ran out of grit and EVERYTHING came to a standstill. Good job it only happens really bad around once a decade :)

I am just south of you in Albert Lea...and it's just a mess! It's been raining all day. I think the roads are still okay but by tonight it will be very icy. My DIL and granddaughter are up there today and hopefully have a safe trip home tonight!
