I didn't used to wear shorts, my legs are really ugly! But when I started running, I found I had to have something cooler in the summer months! I even wear shorts some in the winter depending on the weather! I always wear my favorite nike shorts under my running pants even in the winter... I wear a T-shirt with a hoodie. Then I wear a band around my ears, then a sock hat on top of that... but as I run I strip stuff off as I warm up! That's where the pocket on the hoodie is handy!! What do you run in? What's your favorite brands? I wear Brooks shoes by the way!

I sometimes wear running tights in the winter, but if it's over 50 degrees I'll usually wear shorts. For races I think I'll always wear shorts. Although, the running tights are tempting for the half marathon since they aren't too warm and my legs look better in them. But I'll go with the shorts. My shorts are Under Armour, but I have some Nike shorts too. I like the pocket better on my UA shorts though. The Nike pocket has no zipper. I have UA running tights and only like the capris. The long ones ride down too much. My shirts are mostly Nike. I prefer the ones with the built in bras because I don't really like my sports bra. It is Nike too, but gets way too hot and holds sweat and is constricting. I may need to find a new bra before the full marathon. For shoes my favorites are Nike Free so far. I've also tried New Balance 800 and Zoot recently. The NB aren't bad for shorter runs but they don't feel as fast and they hold sweat too easily. The Zoot shoes blister my feet and rub my Achilles so I have stopped wearing them until I'm done racing for awhile and can break them in without ruining my feet.

Yeah, those things are expensive! I'm doing a half marathon in a little less than 2 weeks and it was almost $100. But I think it should be fun, well you know... as much fun as running 13.1 miles could be. Just be careful on running tights that the ones you get don't slide down. The long ones take me two miles of sweating for them to stick to me and stay on. I wish I could say that about shoes... I constantly try to find something better. I haven't seen many Brooks shoes around here, but I would like to try some of their lighter weight shoes.

I haven't tried any running tights. I may have to check into them. I always wear shorts even when it's colder, I just wear them under some sort of wind pants or warmups. I need to check out the nike shirts with the bra. My sports bra chaps me when I go longer distances. I wear Brooks Adrenaline. I tried them, liked them and haven't tried anything else. HAven't quite been runningyear, but I am training for the spring half marathon! (all I lack is the money to sign up!)

I don't think I'll be running in tights...ever! Either light pants or shorts for me! My Brooks are my best friends! I tried one and they are great so I plan on buying more when these wear out!

These days, I get enough exercise by just running around after all the animals in the house (5 cats & 1 dog)...and not necessarily in my shorts either, though, that has happened a few times. It may seem embarrassing to me...however, they don't seem to mind what I'm wearing. cdrxo

FEEDING, has never been a problem. You just have to look at them to know, they're being well looked after. ...matter of fact, they eat better than I do! cdrxo

I run in shorts and a T back tank top. Cheap sports bra, thin athletic ankle socks that are synthetic and don't hold moisture, nike frees for the winter. I run on my treadmill as I am just too lazy to find time to go outdoors in the day light. Soon I've gotta get myself back up in the mornings to go outdoors though. In the summer I run in bare feet but the rest of my gear is the same. I hate having to carry around stuff for winter outdoor running.

I don't do too bad "carrying" stuff around. I wear a hoodie and the front pocket is perfect for putting my hat or gloves in when it gets too hot for them! I haven't purchased any winter gear.Maybe next year!

I have the same problem carrying stuff too. I just decide to stay cold the first mile rather than try to hold onto stuff later. I can't wear a hoodie because within 10 minutes it would be way too hot. But 10 minutes of suffering through the cold isn't bad.
