Beware of pickpocket !!!

I recently read a piece of report about pickpockets, In winter, doors of supermarket or mall have thick curtains, so when you got in the supermarket, you needed to lift the curtain, at this time pickpockets would have a chance to pick your wallet or mobile phones, then they ran away.
My classmates lost mobile phones is just so.
Do you meet such a thing? what advice?

hello chocolate,
i guess if people already know, then they should be more careful. they can put their little belongings where it would be difficult for the pickpockets to get them. and they can complain to the management of the supermarkets so that these people will put better security for their customers.

Here in the United states we have Glass doors at the entrance to most all the stores or supermarkets. So there isn't a problem going into the store or markets with pickpockets. The problem is with the ladies and their purses. Some of them will have their purses open in a cart and will turn away to look at something on the shelves and that gives a pickpocket an opportunity to take something wallets or cell phones from them with out their know or being aware of it until they go to pay for their items. People need to be aware at all times especially in these hard economic times..
