Do You Care About How Stuff Works or Do You Just Want To Get the Job Done?

I've heard some people say that we don't get into how things work. We just tell you how to do it such as instructional products. Is learning how things work and then knowing how to do it too much information when it comes to doing things. People are so busy they might just want to get the job done without understanding things. Are you one of those people? I think understanding things makes you better even if someone knows how to do something but doesn't understand the aspects of the subject. Oh yeah I've visited Howstuffworks.com

Sometimes I'd like to know just so I can understand how it works so if I need to I can devise any shortcuts or faster ways to use the equipment.

Hey elmiko! I understand what you mean, but sometimes the more I know the more confused I get! Sometimes if you show me just how to work something it is easier for me! If I try to do something from reading a manual I get more confused! I do like to know how things work sometimes, but sometimes too much information works the opposite way! At least for me it does!

Some things are very interesting in how they work...but I pretty much just care about if they really do the job.
