Strange event that occured Saturday on Runescape.

Saturday morning as I headed to the G.E. a strange event happened. Everyone ( on all worlds & locations at the time ) was surrounded by a red mist, floated into the air & "Felt a strange presence come over them". The Runescape forums are abuzz with speculation as to what this event was. The seers all felt the strange presence & the citizens of Witchaven now have changed their dialog saying "The stars have alighned & Mother Mallum is free".
What do you think was happening?

O.0 looks like Jaqux putting to use the "particle" thing. I think this is gonna lead to the release of the new skill, or most likely quest.

i have always wanted to get into these role playing games, but i don't have the time and don't want to get addicted. it sounds like the site is just trying to stall out while they work out somethings. probably a new story line. you guys make this sound sooo good, i think i will just give it a try. it's something that me and my son can do together.

It's some kinda event obviously! It could be anything really. They only did what they did to hype you up. They could be bringing out a new quest, a new boss, maybe even a new island. It could be anything to be honest. It might be worth looking into if theirs any beta exploits.

i honestly dont know, but i think it might be an update, or just a glitch. But whatever it was it seems pretty crazy haha. I personally think that they might just be trying to keep people content because they are trying to save time for them to make a really big update.
