Hi friends, Gambir missed a golden oppurtunity in the first innings of the second test match vs Bangladesh as he failed to score a century. Do you think that he will socre a centutry in the second innings, because India is batting well and it looks we will defeat Bangladesh by an innings.

i don't think he get the chance as in the current pace in which the runs are score today india really need to bat in second inning. there was the chance with gambir but he mis it.

It is not sure as will there be any second innings for India in this test match or not. India is playing with a big lead in his bag and also the Indian seamers are performing very well.So I think that India will try to win without batting in the second innings.

Yes, he did miss out on a century in this innings. It is very doubtful India will bat again as the lead of Indians is already more than 200 runs which is the par score for Bangladesh in a test innings. So he will not equal Bradman's record in this run, but he has at least equaled the record of Vivian Richards for most consecutive fifties in test matches. He has a chance to go one better in the first test against South Africa. Cheers! Ram

Looking at the second day's play, I'm afraid Gambhir won't get a chance to get his 6th consecutive century as Bangladesh won't probably be able to set India a target of more 100 runs. It could even end up in an innings defeat for Bangladesh. Its really sad he missed out on a good start in the first innings as I don't think he'll get a fair shot at continuing his brilliant run in the second innings.

I do not think Gambhir will get another chance at the record.India will probably not bat again and even if they do they shall probably have less than 100 runs to chase and the form Sehwag is in he probably shall get a lion's share of them.

I think India will not be able to bat in the second innings if by chance come to bat in second inning they will not get a big total so its seen completely no for equaling the record.
