deja vu or pure product of the imagination?

Of course many of us get to visit certain places from time to time, or meet other people for the first time. But have you guys been to a seemingly familiar place that you actually have not visited before in your life? Have you met someone for the first time with whom you felt great attachment right before you two were even introduced? Deja vu, so they say. I once got the chance to meet a lady in a site where we two were both assigned. We were not personal acquaintances and we only get to nod at each other when we pass by each other at the corridors. Because she registered to me as someone who I have been personally attached to in the not so distant past, I developed this need to know her intimately -- if we have met before, when and how sort of things. Unfortunately we were not given that chance until she suddenly left the company where we were both employed. If I were to believe the deja vu principle, could it be that we were lovers in our past lives? And do you guys have similar experiences? Feel free to share your comments.
