Wow, that's really good that you are self employed. I tried several times to quit my job because there are better offer from other companies, and also because of my co-workers. Some are really bossy, trying to be a boss even if we have the same position. I got tired of my company. But when I told my boss about it, he asked me not to go, and he doubled my salary.

No, i am currently have two jobs and I feel thankful by it. However, the reason of quitting jobs before was because of co-worker and the decision to transfer to more greener pasteur. I am not choosy when it comes to job. But when I am not happy with the job, I have no friends, the boss never appreciate what I had done good in the company, then what I am doing in that company, I must leave and quit. Do not stay in the company that you will not grow. And advice coming from me it is good to be an employee but do not stay as an employee forever. Save money for investment and try business. Being an employee will never make your dreams come true.

I worked for 25 years for an engineering firm and lost the job due to 9/11. I then worked for a hospital for five years. I quit that job to move to New Mexico to be near my granddaughter. I then worked only 5 months for my brother-in-law and sister. Due to my sister I had to quit because I couldn't work in a place where she treated her customers like garbage and acted like she was better then them. I couldn't believe we were raised in the family and turned out so different. I lost so much weight due to the stress that I had to quit. Never work for family its the worst thing you can do.

I have worked for 32 years of my 53 years of age. However, once I moved to New Mexico from New York I worked for 5 months for my brother-in-law and sister and it was the worse working experience of my life. When they say don't work for family I believe it now. I thought it was going to be great but it turned out horrible. I was getting sick losing at least 20 lbs and I just quit one day. I could't take working with my sister. She is a cold hearted person that only thinks of money.

There's one job I had that I quit after one day. XD I remember how long the application process took - I passed a written exam, got an initial interview, told to come next week for an interview, told to come the next for a panel interview, then told to come for a final interview that I passed. Then I signed the contract still another week after and then the next week rolled by and I started training. One day then I quit. XD It was a really silly thing to do, but I realized that I couldn't handle going to work with all the people in the train being depressed and all (for some reason, it was like a kick in the stomach, seeing all those faces, and knowing I should be going home like them - the work was a graveyard work shift), so when I got in the next day, I said I'm quitting. Really unprofessional, I tell you. But I'm really relieved I was out of there. Papa told me that if I should be unfair, I should only be unfair to myself, and it'd be damned unfair if I remained there for a few months only to quit anyway. Better stop it than prolonging, yeah? I'm glad you're self-employed. Nothing like being your own boss, yeah? ^_^

There is certain stage in our life that we don't wish to be employed anymore but instead want to be our own boss. That was exactly what happened to me. I just felt time to hang up my boots and let go everything to be self employed instead.
