I did. One customer ask me whether I can give them discount on the food they order. I told them I would like to if I am the boss of that restaurant. But the fact is I am not. I couldn't do anything about it. The customer claimed to be friend of my manager, but she is not there that day. I couldn't make that decision.

I haven't encounter rude customers since I am not a call center agents. I am consider one of the customer. however, there are many rude people that if they do not get what they want, they are saying nasty things to the one they are spoken off. I guess when people are talking to you respectively, you should be like that. You should control your anger, but when the situation gets hot , just always remember to keep your cool. may I know, are you a call center agent?

Well as a rule you have to be polite and keep your cool though it is hard. It is harder if you are working in a restaurant or department store where you can see their faces and they can see yours. In call centers you can press the mute button so that you can curse or burst your anger without them hearing you hehe.

Whenever you work in an industry that has contact with the public, sooner or later no matter how polite and nice you try to be, you're going to be abused by a rude customer. It doesn't happen often at our office, but when it does it catches me off guard and unfortunately a time or two the customer made it a personal attack. If it's a normal complaint it doesn't bother me that they are angry and I look at it as a chance to repair things with the customer. I can only remember 1 time when the customer appeared to be attacking me personally for not being able to immediately answer their question, even though I offered a call back from the person who could take care of the problem within just a few minutes - it was very unnerving and made me cry for a short time.

I share my experience with you I let the voice come in from one ear and let the voice go out from another. I never keep any thing in mind.
