Does anyone else find shopping to be overly stressful?

General we do our big shopping trips at Walmart. That is probably our first mistake. I arrive at the store in a good mood and by the time I manage to dislodge a deffective shopping cart from the stack I turn into a ticking time bomb. It feels like caos. The constant clicking of the cart, rude people blocking travel, manuvering around the huge pallets of merchandise waiting to be stocked, unruly children, unavailable products, and the list goes on. If I am lucky enough to make it to check out without blowing my lid then it is bound to happen here. Never in my life would I imagine it taking on average 30 minutes to put your stuff in a conveyor and hand someone some money. It is rediculous 50 lanes and 4 open. WHY BOTHER having 50. Bottom line it is just not a pleasant experience.

Shopping can be stressful, this past weekend I was the woman carrying the 13 lb 3 month old through the mega-super Walmart, because if I put him down he cried. I actually did not find it that stressful as many of the other customers were willing to help me or at least forgive me when I said excuse me, and a few said that it was okay because it looked like my hands were really full. I also find that our store has a pretty good check put line, if there are more than 3 people in a few of the lines, they open more registers. Part of the problem may not be the store but the people in your area. i live in Southern New Jersey and stores in some towns are more friendly and helpful than others.

not only that i find that the prices are so outrageous these days that it is so depressing to go shopping (especially when you dont have a whole lot of money!) i do, however, enjoy shopping at thrift stores because generally they are more relaxed. but grocery shopping, forget it!!

Shopping can be pretty stressful. Try taking all that and adding 3 kids under 8 years old to the mix! lol. I do agree it makes no sense to have so many lines and never have them open. I live in a small area though so it makes a little more sense. I just try to block out as much of the stress as I can so I can get through the trip without strangling someone lol.
