in todays world people have alot of different opinions on different things, one of these being the kinds of music people listen to. i get alot of comments from some of my friend on teh music i listen to, they say its messed up or it doesnt flow. i think its because all of the people in todays culture (american culture at least) think rap is the only acceptable form of music, so i get alot of comments on my rock or alternative music, one of the bands people think is extremely weird that i love is skindred, it takes a little bit to be able to understand them but the songs are always fast and sometimes not being able to understand it makes it that much more fun to listen to, and the rock/reggae twist adds even more to the mix what bands do you listen to that other people think is weird?

I listen to old school R&B and oldies the most. Most kids nowadays think its weird and acts like when they hear it their ears are bleeding or something. I honestly think these kids nowadays are weird because they don't know what good music is. Whenever I used to go cruising with people around town or wherever I would always have some Oldies or something old school playing and they would turn it off and put on some New Pop Rap music that doesn't even sound like real music just instruments slapped together.

I've gotten some flack for litening to Nightwish. Either people have no clue who they are, or if they hear them they're like, wtf? Or just laugh... What's wrong with operatic metal? lol

OK if you want weird music, go ahead and listen to the album "La Cucaracha" by Ween. Not only is Ween awesome, but it's weird, and I find it hilarious!! Also, I am in such an obscure social circle that I haven't listened to a rap or hip hop song in months, it's not what any of us would say is an acceptable form of music, either.
