Hey guys, what hobby of yours that your kinda shy to admit to other people? Me, sometimes I'm kinda shy to admit that I cross stitch, cause their first impression would be like: your old! Something like that. lol How about you guys?

My hobby is researching. It's to strange and nerdy to admit to most people. I literally just have random things pop in my head that I'm interested in learning more about, so it becomes almost and obsession for me to search it out for a day or two. I'm funny like that lol. I've also started thinking about crocheting...a woman I work with makes the cutest sweaters and I thought it would be cool to give someone a cute gift or keep for myself, maybe make something for my dog, etc. But that, too, gives the impression that you are an old woman...especially since I have cats lol.

I used to do a lot of cross-stitch. People who think it is a hobby for the old, obviously have not done it. I used to sit for hours on end stitching. I done some extrememly beautiful projects. Did you do counted or stamped cross stitch? I always preferred counted. I wish I could still stitch. I have had to have both hands operated on for carpal tunnel symdrome, (that my doctor is sure was caused by the cross stitching). I have a hard time holding the needle now. I sure do miss it!

I do counted cross stitch as well. I don't really know how to do stamped cross stitch, though I would love to learn. I'm so sorry to hear that. I do hope you get better and you know, you'd be able to go back to cross stitching again.

Stamped is where they have the stitches pre printed on the material. I just never liked it. The counted is more work, but in my experience, the counted cross stitch just comes out prettier. Thank you for your sympathy. I do so miss stitching. I try every once in a while to do some, but like I said before, I have trouble holding the needle. There is often a lack of feeling in my fingers.

Hobby has nothing to do with age. When I was 20 years old, I used to do a lot of knitting, making sweaters and scarfs. Some people used to say that it is reserved to older people. It is a bug lie and ignorance. HUGS

Yeah, but some people can be so narrow minded. If you know what I mean.

There was a time that I loved to cross stitch. I would still like it but it seems I never have the time or even the project in mind. I have gotten more into oil painting and writing now. I go to school too so that kind of limits my time for my hobbies when you pair that up with my job too.

I enjoy doing archeological work. I really have not found anything yet, I enjoy it and that is all that matters. I got interested in this when I was eight years old. I was just doing what my dog was doing, but I got yelled at. My dog was doing it the back yard where she lives, but I was doing it in the front yard where my parents step. I guess there was a reason behind getting yelled at. Even though I have not found anything I will keep at it.

Hi friend I am fond of reading comic strips. I like comic strips from newspapers. Recently, I started cutting and collecting comic strips from the free newspaper of the Metro Rail Transit. I paste the cuttings into a sort of scrap book. It was a nice hobby and also an inexpensive one. It is kinda odd as a hobby for an adult but its fun and I like it. Regards

My hobby is collecting stamps and monies since when i was still at the age of 7 years old. I was first introduce to this kind of hobby by my father, who is a faithful collector of these items. When my father hands down his collection to me on my 7th birthday, i immediately got excited and started to be the 2nd faithful owner of this collection of stamps and monies. Recently, i get quite attached to writing blog, so can i called it as one of my hobbies? I found it's quite interesting and really start get attached to it everyday.
