That is also my favorite quote. It originates from Horace, a Latin poet. In Latin it is actually Carpe Diem and was used in his poem Odes 1.1. I like the meaning it sends. You never know what is in store for tomorrow so live your life to the fullest today!

I like a lot of quotes, but one that comes to mind is “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain.” Another along that line is "When you can't change the wind, adjust your sails." They're both about learning to deal with what life gives us.

A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

"To say what it is, that it is not, is FALSE, to say what it is, that it is, is TRUE", this one came from one of the famous philosopher "Aristotle".
I like this one because it leads us to know the FALSE and TRUE. There are many intelligent people today, but they are uninformed. There are many intelligent and informed people today, but they are misguided.
Aristotle founded the art and science of correct thinking called LOGIC. Logic will guide us into the proper way of thinking to know the false and the truth. Then the truth will set us free.

I have a couple I like . "Do not protect yourself by a fence, but by your friends" (Czech proverb). "A good friend can tell you what is wrong in a minute. He may not seem such a good friend after after telling" (Arthur Brisbane).
These quotes tell a person not to fence yourself in. Accept your friends as to who they are. Be open to new discoveries. Most important be who you are and let your friends be who they are, don't let something come in between.
