I just read that there's an impending water shortage in Metro Manila until June. Do you have any water conservation tips? 1. Don't shower. Use tabo.

perhaps a few... 1. take quick showers instead of long baths 2. as early as now, try to make use of rainwater for watering plants and cleaning exteriors of the house (i know a family who saves a lot on water consumption by using their rainwater tank for laundry... all year round) 3. minimize car wash 4. when doing laundry, use downy "isang banlaw" (rinse once) hahaha 5. when cooking rice, save the water you used for rinsing the rice and use it in cooking vegies or watering the plants 6. don't use the pool at home. it consumes a lot of water to fill it up and to clean afterwards. take a trip to the beach instead.

Great answers! You know I've been wondering how to save rainwater. Do you know how that family does it? What do they use to collect the water and where do they store it? Won't it breed mosquitoes? I've been wanting to do that for a while now.

hmmmnnn i'm not fairly sure how, but they do have two enormous water tanks that much i know. 1 is regular tap water and the other one is rainwater. i would guess that there's a working tube somewhere (in order to accummulate rainwater) which goes directly to the water tank. i would presume it also has a cover to avoid mosquito breeding.

It would be cool to get it straight from the roof. The tank might get dirty though.

Use ultra low flow shower-heads,turn the faucet off while you shave, also try a short shower instead of a bath.
