ever missed a flight?

friends, have you ever missed? if so why and how did you miss it, what was your reaction?
well, i've missed once not too long ago, last september. i went home to accompany one of my relatives. and while returning i was supposed to return with a stranger. this was requested to me by someone else through my brother in law. on the day of the travel, they told me to go to the airport by 11:30-12 noon. they didn't tell me the exact departure timing and i was careless not to ask also. they had my tickets too. i gave them my brother's no. while leaving home and as i was using my mom's no. at home. i waited for quite long outside the airport as i couldn't enter without ticket. when i finally called them(as it was getting late), i came to know that all the passengers had proceeded for boarding the aircraft. they were trying a lot to contact me but my brother kept his no. in call divert. he was unaware that they'd contact me through his no. so i missed the flight, and it was the result of several factors! no one could be blamed! had to return two days later and i was more careful this time!

I missed my flight six years ago. We were supposed to fly from Frankfurt to Atlanta, but the plane to Frankfurt was delayed for an hour because of the fog at the airport. We came to Frankfurt half an hour before the other plane was supposed to take off and our plane was parked in a whole other terminal than the other plane. So we ran through the airport and a worker there told us we've already missed it, when the truth was, if we ran to the gate, we still could have caught it. Then we were at the airport the whole day, trying to get another flight because we also had a connection to Los Angeles from Atlanta. We got another flight next morning and like that, missed more than one day in LA, so the moment we got there, we had to rent a car and drive straight to las Vegas, where we had a hotel booked for the next few days. It was all the airline's fault and we didn't even get any money.

hello there,
nope i never experienced missing a flight but what i just experience is to have a delayed flight for almost 6 hours i think but its because of some problem on radar...
when i have a flight (well i just travel domestically), i always see to it that i am early. hehe
but my husband, he do experience missing a flight some years ago, reason for that is...he wakes up late and get caught in the traffic! haha what he just do is to cancel it and just go back home!

haha, i am not with him that time! hehe
well what i have experienced is really a worst one, coz we are already on the plane and they let us wait there for an hour i guess, then they ask us to go back to the waiting area and we have to check out & in again our luggage...it was really a bad day for us, and many already get annoyed and lose patience...
but as for me, its just fine coz i know that what happen is also for the benefit of us, coz the problem that time has got something to do with the communication and so it will be too risky to go on...
and besides all flights for that time are affected...

yeah even i've experienced delayed flights quite a few times, the worst being like yours... up to 5-6 hours! i've even encountered cancelled flights for two consecutive days! on the first day, they sent a special flight only for our destination after several hours delay. but had to return after circling over our hometown several times due to bad weather! well, wake your husband up early the next time he gets a trip...lol! thanks for the response!

Yes, I missed a flight once because I forgot to take my passport with me! 
I'd left it at home! Needless to say, I make quite sure that won't happen again, that was an expensive mistake!

I ve missed my flight twice, because I got to the airport late as a result of traffic could happen to anybody
