I don't expect Patrick Viera to be back in Premier League, especially when he decided to join Manchester City. Well, I know that he's not that young anymore, so it maybe wiser to move to Manchester City. But I am curious about his statement lately. He stated that he is sure about playing in South Africa to be participated in World Cup 2010. Because he's playing for City now, he said he has 100 percent chance to brought there. What do you think guys? Is he really worth it?

I think patrick viera is an excellent holding midfield player. Him playing for france will surely increase their chances to win the world cup... His style of play will be helpful against the teams who play defencively... like italy. Surely he is old and down on pace but he has crazy feets... legs like scissors. He still is a great player.. shouldn't have left arsenal..

I am not very sure of it, but given the fact that the coach of France is Raymond Domanech anything is possible. I think France are a great team, but with Domanech in charge, they marginalize themselves. Though Viera might think he will be 100% fit, I doubt, whether he still has the energy to give 30 mins of quality time on the pitch.
Cheers!

Hello. Actually I would like to see an experienced player like Vieira at the World Cup. It's true that France should bring some youngsters but I really think that they can still use Vieira's experience. He was one of the best defensive midfielder player in the history. He was great at Arsenal and I think that he made a big mistake when he decided to go in Serie A. Now he's back and he can help City also in their quest for a Champions League place at the end of the season.
