How to make more girl friends??

Right now i dont have enough girl friends , because i dont speak much to girls. If any one has many girl friends i used to envy them . It is the mind of a common youth in this world .. Tell me some of the interesting things that we can do so that girls might be impressed by seeing that ,, to say simply heroism . I feel shy speaking to many girls not all, how can i avoid that . Is there any way to do that.. If yes please tell me my friends ,, girls who see this discussion tell me what makes you to impress more..
