Code Geass comeback sequel

Code Geass R2 ended in Sept. '08 much to my disappointment because of the sad ending. But it seems like i'll be happy again, because after a year, the makers of Code Geass announced something interesting.......
Along with Zero's photo, the Code Geass' official site announced this:
This is a reincarnation...the day of new birth.
From today, Geass proceeds in new stage.
Again You guys will be under the power of Geass.

there's going to come Code Geass Gaiden
but don't be fooled
its not sequel but prequel
Gaiden means side story
i bet they are gonna show
past of lelouch & emperor, C.C & V.V

Is it like a third season for Code Geass? R3 or something ?
Although I don't want it to continue because it had such a perfect ending, I can't feel but excited for it. (that is if its another season)
