That sort of depends. What things do they like? I'm an old misery-guts and I don't really like valentine's day - All the time I was single I felt left out, and now I am in a relationship, it feels a bit odd that you choose a certain day to tell someone you love them. A couple of yeas ago I bough my fiance a pair of thermal mugs for when he goes fishing - but gave them to him the day before valentines day to prove a point! He loved them - so my advice is think what they like and make the present personal.
