can i make money just by playing games?

hi all! i would really like to play games on the computer. but i avoid them because i tend to get addicted to a game and before i know it, i have already spent a whole lot of time there. and with that, i hate it because that means less time doing other thigns that could earn me some bucks. anyway, i head that some people earn just by playing games. do you know of such? well, i do have some conditions if i can. i don't want to put in money, like bets, or even premium memberships. i also don't like to play those multimedia games, they make me puke. i remember the first and the last time that i played that war game that says fire in the hole! whatever that is. i only played the game like five minutes then i gave up. then overnight, i could see a white light wherever i looked. it was good that i stopped immediately,otherwise i would have thrown up on my keyboard. but really, do you know of other ways i can earn, such as playing games online? any input will be really appreciated. thank you so much! :D
