Are you lazy?

Are you lazy? Today when I was coming back from pt today I saw a guy on the second floor take the elevator down to the first floor and the stairs were about 5 feet away from the door he came out of. I am staying in a 3 floor resident hall and I take the stairs. I even beat the elevator going up and down. I do not understand why people do this. The elevator is suppose to be there to make all the floors more handicap accessible but seems to me there are more lazy people than handicap taking the elevator. So my question is are you lazy? and if you are this lazy explain why? Personally if I am in a 1-4 floor resident area I take the stairs. At a hotel I might take the elevator because I have bags, have to stay with who ever I went with, or just cant find the stairs.

I consider myself a lazy guy, but not in this kind of situations. I stay at the 3 floor and I use the stairs all the time. I never thought of using the elevator. It's silly. But I'm lazy in other situations. I wake up very hard in the morning. It's a pain for me. I hate mornings. When I'm on holiday I always wake up at 11 am. I love so much to sleep in my mornings. I'm lazy on doing my homework or my projects. If I have 10 days to do them, I'll only start working on them on the last day. This is good in a way because I learn to work very efficiently, but sometimes the last day is just not enough to complete the job.

I have the same feeling with you.I use the stairs if the floor not too high. But it is hard for me to get up early in the morning.Sometime I would rather work later at night than get up early. But I know I have to change this habit when I come to work. It's painful for me at the thought of this issue.

15th floor????? Better be lazy than gasping for air and crawling with your tongue out just to reach your floor. Well, I'm lazy too because i take the elevator though its 3rd or 4th floor i just want to save my time and energy and i don't want to look all messed up.

Yes, I am lazy but not to the extent as what have you observe to those guys. I am lazy in doing the things that I felt I don't have the ability. Somehow I realize, trying it is the best way. Laziness is one of the factor that let myself down that is why i am preventing it for my own good. I hope those lazy people could also realize things like this.

i admit that i am extremely lazy too. i left all the plates on the table after finich the food and let my mother to clean up the mess. besides that i do not like to do housework like sweeping, tidy room, mopping, clean toilet and etc. i fully depends on my mother to tidy the house. In additon, i will take elevator from when coming down from second floor to first floor. i am so lazy to use stair case. i think that walking at stair case is dangerous and troublesome. i do not mind others think that i am lazy. i just do whatever i like.

how are the stairs more dangerous? the stairs never get stuck. If you fall on the stairs yea it sucks but its not the same as falling straight down in a 1000 lb metal box.

I am lazy when it comes to doing chores and walking even short distances. I have been staying home for few months now, surfing the net. I really hate to walk. That is why I am gaining so much weight now. My friends sre telling me to walk 1 mile for me to lose some weight. I just really hate it when walking under the scourge of the sun. I don't want to perspire.

I'm not lazy at all. I park far away and I take the stairs when I can. I keep myself focused by making lists so I don't forget to do all the things I need to get done. Not to mention cardio everday!

To be true to my self? I can say that I'm not lazy because I can able to do many things even though I'm not in the mood to do that and even do I cann't do. Well, if the situation is that? I guess i will not be lazy because I can able to walk to exercise my body and beside i'm not a disabled person. For me? I do not want to abuse any kind of things, appliances, and etc because I believe that too much use to any kind of things is not good. I remember the old saying here in our place that ''too much is bad''. That's the pick up lines that my friends always told me.

A lot of the times, when I take the elevator, it is because I need to get somewhere fast. However, it really depends on how far up. I mean, if its just one floor up, then of course I am going to take the stairs. There is no need to wait on the elevator. However, if it is several floors up and depending on my mood, I might use the elevator. However, to use it to get up one floor when there are stairs, is just lazy. Unless you have bad knees, then there really is no reason not to use the stairs for short distances.

Yes, I am most of the time. I just work at home for few hours a day and i have about 1-2 holidays a week so my lifestyle is very sedentary. I always feel that my body doesn't want to move too much. Actually, I think I have an unproductive day today. My boyfriend and I slept around 6 in the morning today because we enjoyed talking with friends in our small store. I wasn't able to sleep well because there was already sunshine. So I was on my bed until 2pm then just woke up to have a meal and a bath. After taking a bath, I went to bed again. I woke up for dinner again then now, I feel a little sleepy again. I always feel tired thinking about a lot of household chores. My boyfriend and I used to argue because of my laziness, which I also don't like. I just cannot make myself as active as i want it to be.

hmm well best way to start would be changing your sleep period. I had to do this cause there were a few days during exam week that I stayed up more than one day or slept for like 3 hours before the exam. The next thing I suggest is that take little steps. Dont try to start out with like running a mile. Just start out with little things that make you feel productive.

I don't ride in elevators very often, so it is somewhat fun riding in them when I can. If the elveator is busy or I am bored I will walk down the stairs.

Hello washingtonmark? Good day to you! I also don't ride elevator because I usually use stairs for the reason it helps me to have a exercise. By walking on a stairs, I know that my blood circulation is doing good with my veins. But when I will go on a high floor like from the first floor going to fifth floor? Well, I guess that's the time for me to use the elevator.

no i'm not lazy given a situation like that. i am willing to take the stairs if the floor is not too high. but i believe that i'm lazy in some other ways. sometimes the only activities that I do during weekends are to sleep and to eat and to surf internet. that's why i considered myself lazy. hehe! :)

Persons who uses elevator even if they just stayed on the 2nd floor isnt actually lazy. they might have other reasons beside that so give them a chance. But if you are asking me personally, i can say im not. Im a very hyperactive person. I always stay up late thinking a lot of things and making research so i usually wake up late also. To others thats a sign of laziness. For me, if your spending your time and energy on worthy things that doesnt make you a lazy person.

I agree with you saying if you spend energy and time on worthy things its not lazy and I do give the people a little bit of a chance before I judge but there are just some people you can just tell they are no way injured or handicapped. As I said in another comment the person was a football player

i normally use the stairs if its 3 or 4 floors difference. but if i have to meet someone (most of the time job interviews) that i need to stay clean, i use the elevator as much as possible. i happened to ask one guy who is going up only on the next floor who use an elevator rather than the stairs. he told me that he is having some foot pains.

I am lazy. But when it comes to taking the stairs or the elevator, I try to take the stairs as much as I can, specially when it is only 1 or 2 flights aways... When it comes to exercising in other ways, I am much too lazy. hehehe.

For me using elevator on the 3rd floor going down is not a form of laziness. I myself sometimes use elevator just because i am in a hurry. So not all people using elevators are lazy. You cannot just determine a person's laziness just because you have seen him/her using elevators. They have their own reasons why they use it.

The thing about lazyness, is when you are lazy, you get a lot of complaints. When you are swift and brisk, people complain for that too. The other thing is, you consider that for one floor by foot is easy to walk rather than taking up the elevator. But the ability to walk depends on people and their weight. We cant compel people to do things which they dont want to .

Depends on the situation. If i have no work on a particular day, then I get bored and feel lazy in doing things. Otherwise,I am a workoholic. I work very hard in whatever I do.

I like the stairs better. Elevators make me uncomfortable.
