The miami heat season has been up and down so far, winning big and playing impressively on some nights then turn the opposite on some nights and play bad and lackluster even against bad teams. Pat Riley has the team poised and ready for the offseason freeagent bonanza where it has the chance to resign wade plus add another max superstar in possibly lebron or bosh or amare and so many other big names. And even before the off-season the trade deadline can be a chance for the heat to get some value for some of its expiring contracts - ex. jermaine o'neal for amare stoudamire trade.

First of all, I would agree with you, the Miami Heat - my favourite NBA team, is very inconsistent this season. Jermaine Oneal being one of the worst, another key player is Michael Beasley. Another big factor to their inconsistency is Mario Chalmers, he was a great PG for the Heat last year, doing very well defensively, but he's still young and seems to apparently crashed into the sophomore year wall. He is not performing as well as last year. The bench is another issue for the Heat, players like Dorell Wright, Daequan Cook, Quentin Richardson (starter) are also in and out of form. The only constant is Dwyane Wade, still putting up big numbers, but he needs help, quick. Jermaine Oneal has been a dissadpointment for the Heat, he was brought here for inside presence, more rebounding, more defence. But he doesn't even average 8 rebounds a game, that's worse than Gerald Wallace, a Small Forward. Another thing is his offence, he's not getting a lot of points in the paint, and sometimes he just isn't scoring enough. Beasley, he's still learning and improving, so we can't really blame him. But he still needs to improve on consistency, and scoring more efficiently. Hope he improves and plays well Role players really need to step up, 2 time 3-pt champ Daequan Cook is not scoring at all, with some rare 20 pt performances. Q Rich is on fire for the last 2/3 games, making at least 4 3s for those games and scoring in double digits, lets cross out fingers and hope that he keeps scoring like this. Another factor that can help the Miami Heat to improve would be the summer free agent market, if they can keep Dwyane Wade, and then get Chris Bosh or Amare, that will boost their chances of winning a Champ, also...get rid of O'Neal please!
