El Niño phenomena is the drastic change in weather pattern throughout the world. It has affected many countries throughout the world. It had produced long lasting droughts, strong typhoons, floods, and intense heat.
In the Philippines, the El Niño task force has been reactivated to anticipate the dry weather that has already started. As one of the affected sectors, the agriculture sector is the primary concern.
Food security must be addressed by securing the supply of water and saving the crops. there were instances when the agencies were caught unprepared and it created a lot of damage interms of ffod production and the economy itself.

Yes, I heard about the El NIño force making preparations. But the weather here in Negros has been fine so far. In fact we got lots of rain for 2 weeks almost everynight cooling the air and making sleep so nice. Now it's sunny and the air is cool even in the mornings.
I just hope El Niño would go away when the summer months come but then it's summer and lots of fun is going on under the sun. And anyways, I am always conserving water in my own little way.
