Regarding the Dignity of Students from Arts Background

Do you think that students having an Arts subject background (Or Humanities) are not considered or treated well. The place i am dwelling in holds a stereotype mentality with respect to such students. I don't know in what ways are we different from others, but i have been experiencing this since a very long period of time that we people are being looked down upon. If this is the sheer truth, should we continue with what we are all with. Or should we come out with a burst on these fiscal mindsets. What you have to say on this? And if you agree this guy, he expects you to join him in a worldwide movement against such offensive intuitions. Is anyone out there present to hold my hand?

that sounds ridiculous - so what is the stereotype? yes i have an arts background [english literature and linguistics] but i never encountered that kind of attitude when i was a student the first time round.

Actually, we here in India face a very unwanted situation if we happen to be a student from Arts Faculty. I also am a student of English Literature, French and Linguistics, pursuing the 2nd year of my Graduation from the Banaras Hindu University. Our people have a deliberate notion that the pupils from arts sream are the most useless ones. They don,t have a proffessional approach and frameset for the times to come, this is what is considered solely for us. You may be failure in your B.E./B.Tech. studies, if you are there you're better then the toppers of languages and literature. You always encounter harsh attitude of society if you are there in langauages and literature. Let's start amovement from now onwards to create awareness regarding such intuitions, if possible coz we aren't stupid guys needlessly roaming here and there. We too are humans, students, and have brain and a heart like anyone else on this earth.
