Fish Tanks

I have two aquariums. They say if you are to watch and pay attention to the fish in the tank and the water it is supposed to be relaxing for you and you health. Do you believe this? I tried it and I felt a little more relaxed than I was. What do you think it is that makes you relax while watching the fish in the aquarium?

Many doctors and dentist have fish tanks in their offices to relax patients.I have 13 aquariums set up in my house. I think that some of it has to do with man wishing to be more in tune with nature and you cannot keep larger animals in your house as easily as you can fish in an aquarium. You must also make sure to keep the environment good for your fish by doing water changes and feeding a good quality of many different foods. If you could post a picture of the fish tanks we could probably ID the fish for you.Your description narrows the number of possible fishes to about 10,000 or so.

I have live plants in most of my tanks so I need a good light for the plants growth.

I believe that it will make people healthy because when you see the fish, you will feel joyful and your blood pressure will tend to be normal. Actually I just bought some new tropical fish on Saturday and now my tank is so beautiful:)

It is very calming to watch an aquarium. I had a friend years ago who had a couple of beautiful ones in her house and whenever I went there for dinner, I sure loved sitting there staring at the fish! I also love the sound of running water and I am considering a water feature for the garden. Wouldn’t it be lovely to have both; a water fountain and an aquarium?

I can only watch a fish tank for so long because they start to bore me after a while, but the more interesting the fish that are in it are the longer I am tempted to watch them.

I really don't know what kind they are because my husband bought them. In one tank there is a lot of gold I guess like more of an dark orange color and the one keeps having babies like all the time!! In the other tank there are 4 fish 2 are like a light pink color and they are my favorite! The other two are kinda a Gold and green and stripped. The two that are light colored I swear they like to play! He bought these clear sea shells and when I look at them up close to the tank he moves the shell towards me like he wants me to play then swims to the top Of the tank real fast and goes back down towards the shell and looks at me. L.O.L.

maybe because they are typically calm & water in itself is usually calming... I think that's why many people who have the money put fish ponds or fountains in is not just for their beauty but for the fish & the sounds of the water.
