I just got a new cat. She is not quite 1 years old. I have been noticing that she is going to her kitty litter constantly and acting as though she is using it, but most of the time nothing comes out. This is confusing to me is because I have seen cats do strange things with their litter before, so I am confused by this one. Also, she didn't start doing this until I changed her litter the other day. She also drinks a lot of water. She doesn't appear to be sick, but I am worried. Let me know what you think please.

My friend works at a vet's office. she is a vet tech. she tends to tell me about different illnesses alot. to me it sounds like that is what is wrong with your cat. when i first got my puppy he was doing the same thing. he was drinking like crazy and peeing like crazy so i thought something was wrong. i think you should take the cat to the vet and get it on some medicine. if it is anything like human uti's then it could hurt her kidneys.

Hello. Thanks for the advice. That is what I thought too. I have an oppointment to take her in. I just wanted to be sure of my suspicions, but now I am convinced.
