Banging my head against the wall...

This is what I feel like doing when dealing with people who use logic that only works in their own little world! People that assume that because something makes sense to them, it must be correct, even if multiple sources say they are wrong, and absolutely zero say they are right. Some people just cannot be reasoned with. So how do you deal with people like this Banging your head against the wall doesn't solve anything, but it sure does feel good when you stop.

after banging your head against the wall, i'm not sure if you'd feel good after. i'm pretty sure you'd feel woozy to say the least. do it hard enough and you'd feel far from being good. hehe as for myself, i don't want to inflict injury onto myself so i would feel like banging their heads on the wall instead. that would make me feel good after. hehe i imagined it several times when i'm trying to reason out to unreasonable people. people who don't listen and too hard-headed for their own good. often i just march out and head to the shower to let off some steam. if i'm outside, i need something cold to cool off like an icecream or fruit shake or slurpee to give me a brain freeze. that would feel better than banging my head on the wall.

Oh I often want to bang other peoples' heads on the wall, but that's hard to do over the internet!

Ug, I know exactly what you mean. It drives me insane when people have their own ridiculous ideas about things that are just completely wrong, logically or otherwise, and they just will not listen to reason. I like things done right, efficiently and in a timely manner - is that so much to ask? I really don't think the head banging should be necessary and some days I just cannot wait to stop.

It seems like sometimes, that is too much to ask (but it shouldn't be)! (I think MyLot needs an emoticon that bangs its head against the wall. lol)

i cash my paycheck and ignore them LOL seriously though..i've had so many bosses that were exactly like that. you could wave proof right in front of their face they're wrong, and they still insist the opposite.

Oh I know, when it happens in a work situation, that is the worst, because it's not like you can tell them they're being stupid, especially if it's your boss.

I ignore them. Try bumping your head on the ceiling its much more fulfilling.

I will have to try that...maybe if I buy a trampoline that will make it easier to bump my head on the ceiling!

Well, first of all, i want you to go and have a look in the mirror, to see if you have any bumps and bruises, from attacking that poor wall. Shame on you. What did the wall ever do to you. Just kidding. I normally tell them exactly what i think of their logic, then i just ignore them and make sure never to come near them again. Those kind have the tendency to set your blood on fire, don,t they?

Oh is that where all those bruises came from? Yes, when people use faulty logic and irrational arguments to try to make a point, it is really extremely irritating. I guess the best thing is to stay away. I'm finding you just cannot discuss anything with them, because they are always "right" in their own eyes.
