My dream of buying a brand new laptop is very far from what I am expecting. A brand new laptop cost thousands. So, if given the chance, I think I will just try to buy secondhand items. Although, the risk of owning a broken one is pretty high, I think we just have to buy items coming from trusted sources...

Hello marketing friend. I have not bought second-hand stuff yet, but as one of my friends wanted to buy a second-hand laptop years ago, I helped her get one at a cheaper price. Used items can be good, but you need to make sure that it is still very good to use. Otherwise it is annoying. Be careful with used items, friend.

I am a student and sometimes I go through a tough time in terms of economical matters. Sometimes I also buy second hand item. But I don't do that in case of electronics. Buying second hand electronics is just like gambling. You may not get a good item always. I prefer first hand electronic goods.

I have purchased a desktop computer used and it lasted 6 years and it was already 6 years old. I also bought a copy/printer/scanner that is both blank and white and color at the same time. The printer has lasted 8 years for me and I didn't pay hardly anything at all for it since it came with the desktop computer that I bought. I have purchased a laptop computer new since and had something spill on the keyboard. The computer was ruined but it was under warranty so I was able to send it back. The computer was 2 years old. The company sent me back a computer that was a few steps up from my computer that was refurbished. I've had it for 3 years and it serves me well. All in all, my experience with used electronics is that at least in the computer area used items are a good way to save money.

i sure do. i scour thrift stores and garage sales to find things that i can use for art and for myself personally. i often find old items at my favourite thrift store that i only pay a few cents for and are worth quite a bit of money.

I don't like buying second hand stuff, especially the digital things. As it has been used for some time. The previous owner may sell it because of many reasons. And I am afraid one of the reasons is the quality. It is so troublesome to find out what's wrong if the laptop doesn't work properly. It needs some time to check it. Besides, the fix fee may be expensive. So I always prefer to buy brand new laptop. If it has any quality problems, at least I can change another new one or refund it. I love China

Yes, I do buy used items. I love going to the second stores and find something pleasing to my eyes. I have an eye for bargains and I can find good items. I love buying house decors in second hand shops. I have also bought clothes, shoes, bags, and many more in second hand or thrift stores. There are many good items, in fact better than China-made items, found in second hand stores.

both my computers were bought at a pawnshop. a laptop which was fine until a virus destroyed it; now a desktop p.c which I use to log on to the internet everyday.I would never get xbox360 used though. ps3 and xbox 360 have too many parts built in dvd drive, etc. to run very well if its bought used. that is if its too wore out, the games won't load properly.

I have bought my 3 last SLRs used, one film SLR and two dSLR. They've all been pretty good, not very much used and overall in good shape. And cars of course, all the cars we have have been bought used. Haven't tried to buy a laptop used, but you could probably get a good bargain as they make new models all the time.

I started buying used books last year from the site betterworldbooks.com. You can get books that you want and you only pay a fraction of the price. I don't think I would buy all those books if I had to buy new ones, because books are so expensive these days. As for technology, I would think twice before buying a used computer because you never know, what could be wrong with it that the owner isn't telling you.
