surrogate mother refuses to hand babies over to adoptive parents because the adoptive mother has a mental disorder! now this woman has an unspecified psychosis meaning that she doesnt fit one certain mental prob (bipolar, schizophrenia, depression etc) and she has been under her shrinks care for 10 years and been stable on meds for 8 years! she had a possession charge like 8-10 years ago but she has been clean from all drugs since she got medication and treatment!
the surrogate told them she had done 2 surrogacies before nad that all the tests that is usual because it was a waste of money so they took that as her saying they didnt need them and she made them fire their lawyer. when they realized they needed the tests and etc they had them all completed 30 days prior to the delivery.
surrogate mom says she was never told about the adoptive mothers mental issues but yet she knew she went to a shrink! wtf!

this really pisses me off.. she has been stable and clean for at least 8 years. they passed all the tests with flying colors and yet this woman is making it out like she is giving the twins over to a cannibal or something! even some one in the audience compared this to her seeing mental mothers killing their kids by driving their cars off the road! if anything the fact she sought out help, been clean, and functioning at the top of her work and been completely stable shows that she can be capable of being a mother! the criminal and drug charges were 8-10 years ago and heck how many people screw up 10 years ago and now are perfectly fine and great parents? i think this is such bs! oh and when the surrogate was asked if they got everything checked out by a third party and they passed if she would give them over she said "no i have bonded with them" wtf!! since its in michigan and there is no surrogacy laws etc they are screwed but to me its theft of services since they paid for EVERYTHING!!
who do you think is in the right?

Tough call.....why didn't she bond with the other two she has done? I think she owes them....if not the babies....then bucks! And for mental anguish.....its not right. I could have never been a surrogat mother...but I know it so wouldn't put anyone through something like that!

i know! i would be so paranoid if i were them and not even consider going surrogacy and give up since i would be scared those mothers would come get them

mental problems of a parents is the dangerous thing in a family it can cause a crime , if there is one of your have this mental problems your babies to be putted at risk. so its better to be take care of that person.

true but the fact that she has been getting help and found the correct meds to make her have no symptoms and signs and have her life normal i think its wrong to put her in the same category as a crazy person that is hurting others and refusing to get help and think they are fine

We are humans with not puppies. The surrogate went into this probably really thinking she could carry and bring life into this world and just give them away like puppies. A caring human being is not made like that.
The mother child bond has been established. The surrogate should be required to pay back every dime spent on her care, but she should be allowed to keep her babies. People should know the risks they assume when they try to buy babies. It is a hard lesson for all involved, but the reality, we are still dealing with people and not animals.

well one of the reasons they trusted and picked her was because she had already been a surrogate twice before and never kept those kids but then came by and picked these up i think a week or two later and now of course there is a bond since its been months.. its just sad
