No I have never gone out on that day...so many people out there shopping and they seem to get rude and well I really don't like to shop in the first place so that would even make it worse. Yes you can get a lot of deals but is it really worth all the hassle and long lines?

I don't plan too, that is just insanity. Especially with an impatient one-year-old!

definitely wouldn't bring the child, considering that for the best deals you are most likely going to have to be in line for an hour before the store opens (and that's for less popular items, for the more popular ones, you will have to campout starting between 5 PM and 7 PM on Thanksgiving). I'm going to go as I think it's fun, but I'm not going to places like Bestbuy or Circuit City that have the huge lines early, might try picking up a couple less popular things there later in the morning

This year was the first year I did go shopping. Maybe I went to a place that wasn't so bad, but the day wasn't that bad. The only place I went that the lines were horrendous was Joanns Fabrics. I wanted some fabric for a costume but people were waiting three hours just to get the fabric cut! I decided to wait another day to get fabric!
