Can you tell about Alaska?

Cold, freezing, that would be the two adjectives that suddenly came into my mind thinking about Alaska before imagining the white snow. I never seen a real snow in my life, and I dreamed of it. I knew Alaska is really a beautiful place to live. However, the longing to feel its real atmosphere is unreachable for me at this moment... that sounds hundreds of miles away. I read about the Old Alaska, before Modern Technologies and Facilities existed there. And the story was really worth remembering, I could not forget the lifestyle of the Eskimos that survived in the vast surrounding full of snow... They were really equipped with knowledge and courage to struggle in the freezing World! And now I am seeking that kind of book again...
