Frustrated with Gmail

Gmail has been so frustrating for the past few weeks. When I try to get a new email address, it asks for text message verification on my cell phone. When I try to log into my existing email addresses, it makes me type a bunch of stupid letters. It is no longer free to get gmail addresses, at least for me, because I have to pay 20 cents per text message I receive or send. I was wondering if there is any way to get around this nonsense. I used to like gmail, because I get a lot of different email addresses for different purposes, and they were always the easiest ones to get. But now I'll have to try Yahoo or some other one.

I got a second gmail account a few months ago and I didn't need a text message varification. I only had to type a sercerity code in the text box from the image they provided me. Not that I couldn't use my cell phone, I've got unlimited texting, but... still. I didn't have that problem with g-mail. Perhaps you should contact them.... or ask a friend to send you an invitation. If you receive an invitation usually you don't need a code varification sent to your cell.

Initially, gmail is by invitation only. So only those existing accounts can invite users to get gmail. However, later on, when it's open up to all, people start to abuse gmail accounts, creating a lot of accounts, resulting in some server problem for gmail. Therefore, they start to instil this letter verification to stop such abuse and stop programs from automatically create accounts. Yahoo, hotmail are some other alternatives.

The thing I don't like about Yahoo and Hotmail addresses is that they expire if you don't log in regularly. Because I'm using these addresses for GPT offers, I might not get around to all of them regularly.

Oops i was planning to get one more Account of G-mail,I hope it will be solved Because the Trend seems furious for the most Internet users need to pay for using services like youtube, nytimes and now you said Gmail have also started charging users for getting new Account.but one thing makes it Interesting the value of Services might be improved and we will use Internet more Responsibly when we pay for it......!

that happened to me, too. I think their doing it randomly coz my friend said he got into Gmail without any problems. Because I got irritated I tried other email providers. Maybe you could check out Bigstring, Mail2World or even Care2. They're all free so if gmail doesn't want to offer it hassle free then I'm moving on to other providers.
