Do you get anxious when you think you are pregnant?

Ever got that strange feeling creeping up your neck, your heart pounding it way out of your chest, sweat beading slowly at your forehead? That's what I feel every time I think I'm pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I'm in a good relationship, have the right job and everything. But I feel an anxiety attack coming every time I feel I'm pregnant. And I feel this way every month. They say it's tokophobia, but it also means I got to have an irrational fear of giving birth, which I think I don't have. Have you experienced the same thing?

My gyne tells me I should be serious on using any birth control methods to ensure that my fears will not turn into reality. MY mom thinks abstinence is the best way. But she brought me to the gyne herself.

everyone tells me it's because I'm too young to get pregnant and I'm not the type who will get married because I'm pregnant. But it doesn't mean I won't like having children though.

Hi there A Bit Curious! Well, I do feel worried but not as intense as that. Even though I am married and I am in the right age, I already have a son, whom I love so much, may I add. And the thing that's causing me to worry is that I am still studying and I still need two years to finish my studies. After that, I am hoping to pass the board exam and when I secure a stable job, that's when I would like to have another child.

Crazy right? Even my room mate taunts me for feeling that way. But really can't seem to relax when I've missed my period. Thanks for sharing.

Hi... i am pregnant and in the 6th month. Even i have experienced the same but not much. I was kind of restless in the 2nd month of my pregnancy because we dint want a child for one year atleast from marraige. But i became pregnant which was totally a shock for me as i was completely not prepared for pregnancy and motherhood. My mind set was different as I wanna concentrate on my career part properly before getting into these. Now i have prepared myself about the delivery and motherhood and am balancing my career as well. And now, its my husband who worries the most about the delivery and stuffs. I do convince him often that everything will go well. I am totally not scared now as i think pregnancy is the most beautiful gift God has given to women and am enjoying it to the most...

Congratulations on your baby!!! I just find babies and toddlers cute. I know that I'd want my own baby one day when I'm ready. Right now though, I can't picture myself with a belly bump and I can't imagine myself having a baby. I just hope this fear has waned by then.
