I am a heavy facebook user. For all of you like myself i know you have heard about them talking about charing for the site. What are you thoughts? Just wondering how many people are addidicted to it like myself who would consider paying. Or would you just stop using it if you have to pay for it.. I wonder why all of a sudden they want to pay if they didn't pay at first. Probablly tyring to get us hooked on it first. Always out for our money.

First of all, all of the information I can find about Facebook charges seems to be speculation. Facebook have several times denied that they have any plans to charge users. This article on Snopes warns of the dangers of joining a website to protest against the supposed charges: http://www.snopes.com/computer/internet/fbcharge.asp . This article published in the last week or so (and probably a syndicated news report) seems to confirm that there are no plans to charge users: http://www.business-standard.com/india/news/facebook-denies-rumourscharging-users/82994/on .

I have not used facebook. I have 2 sites i use thats enough. Both are free. I would not pay. Why pay when you can do it for free? Like hulu you can watch movies for free. I heard they were gonna start charging a fee. I dont watch many movies on computer but there are still others that you can watch for free. So if they start charging i stop using. My xm satilite radio. I used to be able to listen online for free. Now that they have IMPROVED and merged with sirius they want to charge for listening online. Screw that, i wont listen online anymore. That didnt seem like much of a improvement to me.

If facebook charge users then I'll concentrate on mylot and other paying sites besides there are so many free social networking sites like friendster, yuwie and many others. After all it's better for us to earn than to spend...

I am actually trying to be on mylot more than wasting valuable time on facebook not making any money. I be on there just looking at updates, games, ect. Which in reality i could do once a day and not 4-5 times a day for hours.

Hi! I am on facebook but not a lot. SO if they would start charging people for being on facebook I wouldn't be on there long. So it wouldn't be worth my time or money. Now there are others that spend lots of time on facebook and I am sure there are people that would pay for it. Its bad enough I think when you have to pay for the internet let alone being on another site that you have to pay for.

that's a good way to stop my addiction on facebook. i definitely would delete my account if the site will start charging me everytime i log on

they'd be shooting their own foot. a lot of people would just jump to the next "new and improved and free" site. i know i wouldn't pay for it.

I'm not addicted enough that I'd actually pay just to be a member of their site

i think the charges thingy are just speculatios. i dont think facebook would charge their users, because f thats the case many would chose not to open their facebook accounts and consider other free social networking sites..
