I am a African American. It seems like every time I turn around now days its someone of a different race looking down on me. Its always something new happening in the news with race but more so about African Americans. I want to know how anyone feels or some opinions.

I think it has never gone away. I mean, even though I've never experienced it firsthand because I've never been out of my country, I've heard lots of stories about that. Our countrymen who work abroad get subjected to this kind of unfair treatment all the time. Wouldn't you feel sad for your people if you get a spot on a dictionary describing you as a race of maids? Those people that go out of our country underemployed, had no choice but to work away from home because they get paid better and they suffer through that day in and day out. Never mind the fact that they get insulted, maltreated and abused by some of their employers, it puts food on the table. Sad really. But its the way it is and many children are growing up learning this. Sad.

I agree with you. I thought that racism was a thing of the past until I grew up and started to experience it first hand. Im tired of these people out here with there confederate flags and disrespectful words but I guess that is just life. THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING. You really gave me something to think about.

I am totally against racism. Everyoone should be treated equally, no matter who he or she is. Those who look down upon black people or the other race are just too arrogant. But, to judge other person according to one's own standards is a kind of men's nature, I think. So, racism, especially on the black people is very hard to eliminate. But, I don't think you should care too much what the other thinks. Just be yourself!
