Vikings next logical Step?

Key word logical. I was a supporter of bringing farve to the vikings for a season, i mean we didn;t have a whole lot to lose except for a great team missing a quarterback. Regardless of if farve can play or not what would be the next logical step for the vikings to even just get to a super bowl? The offense minus a few linemen are young and talented, the defense for the most part is young minus one of the williams. Is a drafted franchise quarterback the need? Or a seasoned veteran that can run and gun for a season or two?

I heard they was maybe a possibility of trading for donovan mcnabb now i don't know if he's the answer, but he is probably better then what they have now and they have the talent assembled there to win now. If they can get their great running back Adrian Peterson to quit putting the ball on the ground that offense can be dynamic. The only reason they are not still playing is the turnovers and one of those was on an illegal hit on Brett Favre which the league said should have been a penalty had it been called the vikings may still be playing. I would say they are better off with Favre should he decide to play again if not i would go the free agent route cause they are no great quarterbacks coming out this year.

If they go the rookie route they will likely become a more run based team again. So it depends if they want to rely on Petterson again (though he did screw up a few times in the play off game). But they won't be in a good position to pick up a rookie QB thanks to being high in the draft, so I'd expect them going to their backup or try and find one through free agency.

Stick with Brett if he returns.
