I started this interest that took me to a varied discusion that went from what we thought of human baings to how I had remodeled my terrace. After reading and commenting at my friend´s answers, I found out that for me, a coven is something very similar to the living room in my house when we have a party. Many conversations, all at the same time, people who want to participate in more than one at eh same time, nice things to eat and to drink. A spell is cast: frienship! Take care and share!

Hello, Marguicha. I like your meaning of coven, and the spell of friendship. My husband has always said I'm a witch, because I cast my spell on him the moment he saw me. He also says there's magic in my eyes. And my friend's husband says we must both be witches, because we always have a cauldron of soup on the stove, even in summer, so I guess I'm well qualified to join the MyLot coven!

Welcome dear. Of course, anyone with a cauldron of soup on the stove belongs to this place. As for my spelling, it is only in part my English flaws. Mostly are my keyboard´s. I had a wonderful keyboard until last Christmas. It was white with black letters so I could see what I was writing. It had become very personalised as many of the keys were burnt from the time I smoked. My eldest daughter tried to give me a new keyboard as everyone in my family thought mine was a shame. But the new ones are black with white letters and I had problems with my eyes. She finally discovered this one and I have never seen anything worse. Half of the time it leaves out a letter or two. But I would hurt her feelings if I didn´t use it. If you have a spell to break it down without anyone noticing I did it so I can put the old one again, hand me the number of the page at the spell´s book. I said that we, witches, did not make curses. But this keyboard is a curse.

I'm really not familiar with the word coven, but the way you are describing a coven as a place to spend times and visit with friends and all, I guess my biggest coven is in my office. That's where I spend the majority of my time except when I'm sleeping.

Basically it´s a gathering. So if you are alone inyour office, it doesn´t apply. But if it´s also a social instance, it does.

That´s a meaning I gave to the word, friend. But after writing that I went to check at the Wikipedia and at the begining, the word only implied a gathering. And what is a gathering but a party in your living room?Besides, I seem to have gathered the nicest witches and sorcerers of mylot. If you check the discussion and scroll up and down, you will see all sorts of nice human beings. Maybe I´ll ask again, from this interes, for people to join me in my campaing for freerice.com I downloaded the toolbar as I don´t have much time to play the game and every day I gather 2500 to 5000 grains of rice. Hug!
