What should I get my dad for his 49th birthday?

If you have ever read any of my discussions where I rant about my dad..You probably know that he's not very conventional. A birthday card would probably go straight to the trash, and most presents that you'd get a dad - just wouldn't make him happy. His biggest focus on life is working and drinking (not simultaneously..Thank god. lol.) My one idea that I would get him, if not a 12 pack and a bottle of brandy, is 49 SCRATCH OFF lottery tickets (the $1 ones). LOL. This is the only thing I could think of. Although I would imagine that's an embarrassing trip to the gas station ("umm..Can I Please get 49 of these?") . Do you have any ideas for me, besides buying him booze?

Hi Maezee, i think you need to be innovative enough to touch the core of your dad. make it something different this year. of course you can still go with your bottles of brandy and that lottery but you can make a twist by-------giving him HIS PORTRAIT. If it's possible his portrait will be a great present for him. if this is not possible, make a collage of your pictures...frame it and make it as your gift to him. he will surely be touched.

Hi maezee! We'll it's really very discouraging for our love ones to reject our gifts. So to avoid that I guess just give him whatever you think he will be happy. If a bottle of brandy would please him then go for it but give him a little note of encouragement, love and care. Or probably a short note wherein he can reflect and then give him a shoulder massage for his birthday. He might need it from a very busy day. I hope this can help??
