Shahid afridi, who captained pakistan to win the T20 world cup, has been banned for two T20 matches. The Pakistani has been charged with the offence of ball tampering. He was reported biting the ball. In an interview, afridi has said that, he did it to make his team win a match. He now regrets for doing such a thing. How many pakistanis have been caught for ball tampering till now? Do you remember Sachin too was once banned for tampering the ball.

This is really shame for Pakistan cricket team. They all the time do something in which there players are more introduced in bad things rather playing.

I am an Indian, but still I would like to raise this point. Is there something about the comments on ipl, that has to do with this ban?

@b4balaji Don't suspect IPL for everything that happens. What Shahid Afidi did has nothing to do with IPL. And it comes under very sever offence according to ICC Rules. The condition of ball cannot be changed by any unnatural ways. And Afridi could have got more severe punishment. Srilankan referee was kind enough to ban him for just two matches. This is what former players saying.

How could he bite the ball man,it's a ball not apple which he was biting lol.And how could he bite the ball and stay out of it as it is easily visible to the on field umpires that he is tampering the ball and he admitted that he deliberately did this to make their team win.It was not a mistake so he must have been given more severe punishment,2 T20 matches is not enough. Sachin was also held under the act but it was mistakenly that he was tampering the ball but actually he was getting the mud out from the ball which was stuck in the ball.He didn't do it deliberately it was a mistake

It is a ball, and not an apple! That is really funny. But the daily news from afridi change a lot. Day by day, he has changed his comments. Now he says he dint do anything of that sort!

It was a moment of madness in my opinion. I've got no idea how he thought he would get away with it, very strange to say the least. But he is a great cricketer who is very entertaining to watch.
